Welcome to the "ปล่อยเพื่อนเรา" or FREERATSADON Campaign

This campaign is initiated by Amnesty International Thailand with the aim of raising awareness about the violations of activists' and citizens’ rights who have been unjustly imprisoned merely for exercising their freedom of expression and assembly.

FREERATSADON is grounded in fundamental human rights principles, including:

Article 11 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), which states that "Everyone charged with a penal offence has the right to be presumed innocent until proven guilty according to law." Article 19(1) of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR), which affirms that "Everyone shall have the right to hold opinions without interference." We believe that every voice matters and has the power to create change. That’s why we invite you to write letters of encouragement to those imprisoned, letting them know that you continue to stand for their freedom. Your warmth and support will serve as a crucial driving force in their fight for justice.
